Nate grew up in Port Orchard, Washington, where he met and married Heidi, his high school sweetheart and now wife of over 25 years. They have four wonderful kids: Abigail, Madelyn, Ethan, and Micah. They also have a mini schnauzer named Boston and a Frenchie named Theo.

Nate is a general contractor and runs his own business. He enjoys the outdoors—dirt biking, hiking, snow skiing, and, more recently, mountain biking are just a few of his favorite activities. He also enjoys reading, mostly non-fiction, and taking long road trips. Even though they moved to Coeur d’Alene in 2009, Nate still holds a soft spot for Seattle coffee and sports—heartbreaking as they can be!
